Creating an account
Purpose: explain how new users get into the app. The exact path depends on whether your organization invites you or you use a public signup link.
Who can use this
New staff and students (where allowed) who do not yet have a working sign-in.
Steps
- Watch for an invitation email from your program or IT. Follow the link; it should open EnsembleVault in the browser.
- Set a password (or use “Sign in with Google” or similar) when the page asks. Choose something you do not reuse on random websites.
- If prompted, confirm your name and organization so your admin can match you to the right facility (site).
- Complete any first-time profile fields your org requires, then go to the dashboard.

Expected result
You can sign in and see a dashboard. Your name and organization should look correct in Profile or Settings (wording may vary by release).
What happens next
- Signing in (return visits).
- If your dashboard looks empty, read Permissions errors.
Common problems
- The link says expired — ask an admin to send a new invite.
- Wrong school or “no facility” — do not guess; ask an admin to assign you to the correct site.
